About

Founded in 2017, Geminus Bikes started developing bikes that emphasize mobility, accessibility, functionality and modular design. Touring and every day use where key features.  Its goal:  to create a bike that has enough power for you to haul your everyday groceries up a steep hill, tough enough for touring and can occasionally be taken apart to fit in a small sedan. Also it would have modular additions to fit anyone’s needs.

As we went through materializing different concepts using rapid prototyping techniques, we learned about the needs of users. In the spring of 2019
Annie Tredray, a great physiotherapist at the Banff hospital who works with older adults and founded the pedal4joy program there, began advising us on the everyday needs of her patients. She envisions a world where cycling is accessible to everyone, even for individuals marginalized by age, illness or by physical limitations. Not only does she know how much joy her program brings to the residents by getting them outdoors on a bike, but she is a passionate advocate for using physical activity in the prevention and intervention of chronic disease to promote equitable healthy aging.

Geminus bikes believes that this bike  will expand cycling and access to it. By focusing on accessibility, stability and ease of use. Its pivoting seats give extra easy entry when needed. The rear traction motor with low gear lets you effortlessly climb any hill even  when your passenger does not have the ability to contribute much. We truly hope our products can make your life better.
